Hi I'm Jeanette

I live in Canada and worked for 27 years in the same job. My children and grandchildren are happy to be living here.

About Me

I love history so I read a lot of non fiction books especially how other people live. My schooling was only to grade nine but it didn't stop me from working in a bank for many years. My special skills, if any, are dealing with people. My mother passed away when I was 14 years old, it was a huge shock to my family. I love teaching children at church, they share their knowledge with me, even showing me how to write Chinese, how cool is that!

Why I am a Mormon

I was converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints when I was twenty one years old and expecting my first child. It was in answer to a question I was asking myself on what was I going to do about my baby's religious upbringing. My four sisters and I were raised by a mother and father who made sure we attended church every Sunday, celebrated Easter and Christmas. My life has not been without heartache, loss of family members at early ages and silly choices I have made, but never have I regretted the best decision to become LDS. It changed the course of my life, best of all it has made me a better person. I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and will be ever grateful to them for allowing me experiences and contentment.

How I live my faith

I am asked a lot to help prepare food for various activities at church, my friends ask me because I work fast and am organized, (so they tell me). One reason, of many, why I love my church, is because there are so many opportunities to do volunteer work. Every month, with another friend, I visit 3 beautiful ladies. Two of them now have health problems but we still share stories and memories of our families and experiences. The youth very often drop gifts off at my house, ring the door bell and then hide. My husband and I love these little goodies especially when its home made cookies. For exercise I dance twice a week, my daughter has a dance studio and she has been teaching me for the last twelve years. This year I performed in her student recital for the very first time. Many of my friends came to watch and support me. My life is full, never a dull moment and I wouldn't change a thing.
