Hi I'm Emma

I was born and raised in Oregon. I'm about to leave on a mission for my church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love to read, and and I try to do it everyday. I graduated with an associate degree from a community college near me with honors, and I'm going to go to Brigham Young University-Idaho, when I return from my mission. I like to collect rocks and stamps, General Conference is my favorite time of the year, and I've played the piano since I was five years old. I'm rather shy, don't have many friends, and would rather have my nose in a book than be out talking to people. However, I do my best to be friendly and be as Christlike as I can, regardless of my fears and anxiety, and regardless of how far out of my comfort zone it is.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my whole life, so I've never really had to decide or make a conscious decision to be a member, because that's what I've been doing for as long as I can remember. I don't know anything else. However, I know that this is the right church, and that this is the right path for me, even though it can be hard and lonely sometimes. I don't want to know anything else besides this church. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and our Redeemer, and that He bled from every pore, for each of us, that we may return to Him and our Heavenly Father and be forgiven of our sins. I know that when we repent, we are forgiven and they "remember them no more". I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet of our day, and that He has revelations that come from God. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that it truly is another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday, and I am currently teaching the CTR 5 class in my home ward. I am also going to be leaving at the end of October to be a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for the space of 18 months.
