Hi I'm Christina

I am a Mormon convert, recently married, a lover of dogs and cats, and retired Air Force.

About Me

My husband and I were both baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in February 2015, and we were married "until death do us part" the night before our baptisms. We were sealed for time and all eternity (forever) a year later. We believe that marriage does not end after death. We will be able to be together after death if we are worthy. We have two dogs, a 6 year old Beagle, and recently adopted 2 year old chocolate lab. We live in Florida and have a garden full of hot peppers - from banana peppers to ghost peppers. We felt we needed to move to Florida a year ago to take care of our aging parents.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony is more of a journey than a single event. Through many specific prayers asking Heavenly Father to let me know if the Book of Mormon was true, if Joseph Smith really was a Prophet of God, and if this Church was the right thing for me, I just started to feel like what I was doing was what I should be doing and where I should be focusing my life - on Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

My husband and I attend Sacrament every Sunday. We both have church assignments called "callings". I am a Primary teacher for 8 year old children and a Cub Scout Wolf Den Leader (8 year old boys). My husband is the Young Men's President and guides the young men between the ages of 12 and 18. I am also what we call Visit Teachers. We minister to the women in our ward (a small part of our church where we congregate), through teaching, helping, consoling, or whatever is needed. We often join the missionaries in lessons with people learning about the church. We also have the missionaries over for dinner often as it brings such a wonderful spirit into our home!
