Hi I'm Abigail Meyer

Soy misionera! Soy mormona! 3 Nefi 5:13 :)

About Me

I am a missionary in the Canada Toronto Mission! I love serving the Lord and His Canadian/Muslim/Hispanic/European/Caribbean children in both Spanish and English, (Ontario is super diverse), and living somewhere so new and different. I attended BYU-I for a couple semesters and hope to continue on the path to teaching after my mission! :) I love to help people learn and understand. The majority of my vocabulary is movie quotes and now Spanish. I love looking at the stars and the horizon at the beach because they stretch on FOREVER and they remind me of eternity. I love the Lord and am SO happy to be a member of this church.

Why I am a Mormon

I love prayer. I love speaking to my Heavenly Father. I can tell him how I feel about things, and I know he understands. I can share my excitement, fear, joy, and concerns with him. I can ask for help and forgiveness, and ask for comfort and understanding. I can do so much with prayer, and it is so precious to me. Understanding who our Heavenly Father truly is helps you speak comfortably with him. The best part of prayer is I can always have it. It is not something that can be taken away or ruined by anyone else. I chose to be a Mormon out of habit, and because my parents raised me to be. I choose now to be a Mormon because I know it is good. It is simple, and it is true. There is no commandment that we have been given that is not for our safety or benefit. I know God and Jesus Christ love me. I have learned for myself. If you allow yourself to work alongside God's will, you will be blessed with what you need, and you will know all will be okay. In the end, it will be so much better than okay, SO much better, and that is what I want for myself and my family. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission for my Heavenly Father. Reading my scriptures and having daily conversations with my Heavenly Father increase my faith all the time. I am reading the Book of Mormon again, and each time I read it I see and understand more about our life on earth, our purpose, and our Heavenly Father's love. Saying prayers every day allows me to talk to my literal Father in Heaven, my dad, and tell him all that's going on with me. I love the gospel. It's a comfort to know that it will always be there.
