Hi I'm Savannah

I'm an Oregonian, Disney Kid, Serving a mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I'm a mormon

About Me

Hello! It is so nice to meet you! First off, I mentioned that I am from Oregon. You can't live here and not appreciate the amazing nature that is here, from our winter rains, lakes and rivers to the beautiful foliage that you see as you hike up and down the valley. Backpacking/hiking/camping trips have allowed me to see only a special part of what Oregon has to offer. Next thing you should know is that I grew up on a farm ( not ranch size, but not backyard neighborhood chickens either) with my six siblings and parents. Nine people can get a little crazy, but we love each other by the end of the day. At home, learning is always happening, whether its through books, art or music. I can play the flute and piano and currently teaching myself to play the ukulele. As for arts, drawing and watercolor are my thing. I love to create and make something that has never been done before. My freshman year has been completed (Yes!) and now I am preparing to serve a mission in Buenos Aries, Argentina.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member, but that does not mean I have always had the testimony and faith the I do now. It has grown, little by little, as I have been blessed to experience and see things happen that has strengthen me. Through Seminary, a high school scripture class, I gained a testimony or affirmation that Joseph Smith is a prophet and restored the Gospel of Christ on the earth again. Reading the Book of Mormon alongside the Bible confirmed to me that the Book of Mormon is true and the Bible as well, was far as it is translated correctly. Partaking of the Atonement each day, I have come to know my Saviour, Jesus Christ and have felt Him daily in my life. This is why I am a Mormon, and I know it to be true.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is in part just being happy. We constantly are trying to become like Christ and the best way I believe to do that is by having happiness a part of your life. Currently, I am living my faith by serving a mission in Argentina. I will be serving the people there and be spreading the news of this gospel to those who want to hear it.
