Hi I'm Kalani

I'm from a large Texas family. I love to tell stories, true ones and ones from my mind. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read and to write stories. If I could live in a book store or library, I totally would. I also love theater, both the musical kind and the regular spoken kind. I've felt the most alive when performing, either in a theater setting or musical one. I've played the clarinet for seven years now, and it's the best instrument as far as I am concerned. No offense to other instruments, I'm sure they are great too.

Why I am a Mormon

One of the principles that I love most in this church is that of eternal families. My family is large and loud and varied, and I wouldn't want to continue through any kind of existence without being able to claim them as specifically my kin. We don't always get along, and we don't always agree, but we always love each other, and I think that that is something special.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to serve others in any way that I can. Usually that ends up being through making food for others who need it, and to me that is one of the best ways to help out others going through rough times, or even happy times. Though I also love to help with service projects in my community, whatever they may be. Loving others in different ways is the best way I know to live my faith.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

When a set of missionaries enter your home, they will first ask to share a message about Jesus Christ. They will teach you different parts of the doctrine that He taught while He walked the earth, such as the importance of baptism, the Plan of Salvation, which gives all people the opportunity to live with our Heavenly Father again, and the commandments and why we should follow them.
