Hi I'm Daniel Holbrook

I'm a pretty happy guy who loves his family, likes to have fun (especially freestyle skiing), and feels blessed.

About Me

I work as a commercial real estate appraiser. I want to invest in a lot of real estate in the coming years. In the mean time, I realized that I want to live today, have fun, and take time for things that matter most. I don't want to "get old young." My wife and two daughters are usually great contributors to my happiness, though we have certainly had growing pains in our first 5 years of marriage. Thankfully, things get better and we feel more blessed each year!

Why I am a Mormon

I have felt multiple assurances that Christ is leading this church today. It is a unique church, and is not well understood by the world at large. That sounds like the church in New Testament times and before. I have received a confirmations from the spirit that the Book of Mormon is true. As promised, I have grown closer to God by studying the Book of Mormon than by any other book. I know it was brought forward in the last days because people have not been able to settle discrepancies through the Bible alone. It is also the best tool to use for a person seeking to know whether or not this is Christ's true church.

How I live my faith

I developed faith, then a testimony, and then a level of conversion through my teenage years and on my mission. I remember wondering as a young man if "church" would become the most important part of my life, or if I would focus on something else. Eventually I had spiritual experiences that taught me of Heavenly Father's love for me, his perfect path for me, and his never-ending help and patience for me. Now I know that God has given us his gospel specifically to help us live as happily as possible in this life and to prepare to live with Him when we done.
