Hi I'm Anna Christine Van Drimmelen

I'm a short, sassy, energetic girl from Utah. Right now I'm a sister missionary!:) I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I LOVE life!:) There is so much good and happiness to be found in our time here on Earth, we are meant to find joy! I find joy through things like singing, creating music, writing, dancing, and spending time with my family. I love to learn, organize, grow, and progress, and that's why our lives can be so great: it's all about progression! Sometimes I talk too much, sometimes I stay up way too late reading, and sometimes I get way too excited about my new favorite country song, but at the end of the day, life is good when we spend time doing the things that are of eternal value. "Men are that they might have joy."

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Why did Christ suffer such horrible, awful things in the garden and on the cross? Why did the mother Mary travel all the way to Bethlehem on a donkey while she was with child? Why did Joseph Smith, an innocent man, endure prison time, tar and feathering, and eventually lose his life? Why do our modern day prophets and apostles serve so selflessly when they are aging, many in bad health and going through trials themselves? Why did my mom carry me around for nine months in her, and for 19 years after still continues to carry me in times I cannot go on? Love. All these people did all these things, because of their love for Heavenly Father, and for our brother Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior, and I know through a witness of my own that they have once more brought the gospel to the Earth, for the last time. As we discover the gospel and exercise faith in it, our love for them will grow and we will begin to understand why we are in this life, and what it is preparing us for in the eternities. I am a Mormon, because of the Savior's love for me, and my love for Him.

How I live my faith

I have the most amazing opportunity in life right now and that is the chance to serve my Savior on a mission for 18 months in the heart of America: Washington D.C.! It isn't exactly the next thing I had planned to do when I graduated high school just four months ago, but I know that the Lord has called me to serve His people here. I have the desire to share the gospel for many reasons, but there are two that are very important to me. One: because I have been given much, I too must give. Heavenly Father has given me many blessings and privileges that His other children don't have, and I know that because He has blessed me in such ways, it is necessary, as well as an honor, to give back to Him to show my gratitude for the blessings he has given me. When we give back to the Lord, we are creating our best selves, becoming more thankful, AND helping to bless His children, which is most important of all! Two, I have the most AMAZING family, and there is no way in this world I would ever want to leave them for eighteen months, unless it was for a very worthy and sacred purpose. And guess what?? It is! I am leaving them for a time, so that I can help other families out there become eternal just like mine. Every living soul deserves the chance to hear about this incredible message, and gift that has been given to us through the Savior's atonement, and that is why I am out serving a mission.
