Hi I'm Sean

I now live in South Carolina. I am retired. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Georgia, USA. After high school, I entered the United States Marine Corps. After my service, I entered into a career in the quality sciences. I have traveled to Japan and Canada. I attended Georgia Southern University and studied management. I moved to South Carolina in 2013 to marry my wife. In 2014, I converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am currently enrolled in Pathway thru BYU-Idaho and will seek a degree in Web Development. I am an amateur photographer and take images of varying projects.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in what The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches. I believe that that the was restored to earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. Similar to Joseph Smith, I sought, through prayer, for Heavenly Father to lead me to a church that taught the true gospel. My prayers were answered in a very unexpected way, through my current wife. My previous wife passed away in 2005 from a life-long illness. I vowed to never marry again. Then, in 2013 I began feeling lonely and joined a dating site. When I joined, it signed me up for ldsplanet.com. My now wife sent me an email and we started talking online, then by phone. It was not long before I found out she was a member of the Mormon faith. I began studying the Mormon faith. I prayed to my Heavenly Father asking if this church was true. Then, one day when I was going to town, I received a feeling of peace and reassurance that this church is, in fact, true. I was baptized in May 2014. I have not looked back.

How I live my faith

I serve the church as Ward Sunday School President. I have served as Cub Master. I also do some teaching.
