Hi I'm Brigham Taylor

I'm 19 years old. I love American Sign Language. I love technical theater. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Language fanatic. After my mission I plan on attending school and becoming a Linguist. Communication is super awesome and I love it. I grew up as a member of the church. I went to High School and participated in the choral program as well as designed lights for the theater program. I was one of the main technical crew members in High School. I went to college for 1 year where i learned sign language and fell in love with it. I am now on a mission in Argentina where I am speaking Spanish as my 3rd language. I absolutely love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ. I love everything he has done for me. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the most real thing on this planet. Knowing that someone loves me even after all of the things that i have done in my life which weren't the best, is the best feeling in the world. Whats even better is knowing that he always will love me. I love the Plan of Salvation. I feel so happy and safe knowing that God has a plan for me and that I am living it currently. I love how there are modern day Prophets. Whenever we are confused about things of the world, we can look towards them and have full confidence that they will help us and guide us through revelation from God. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that God continues to talk to us and has never stopped talking to us. Joseph Smith really did see God and Jesus Christ, and translate the Book of Mormon. We can know this through the spirit which i have felt many times in my life confirm to me that this is true.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission so I get the opportunity to share my faith with other people! Being a Full Time missionary is the best.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Brigham Taylor
No! A lot of people think we are required and that's not true. It is entirely, 100% up to you. It is a very personal decision. However, Young Men are urged more strongly to serve a mission because it is a Priesthood Responsibility, it is not required. I know plenty of young men who haven't served a mission for a bunch of different reasons. However, I know that missions change you for the better and have a massive influence on your life. It is nearly impossible to go on a mission and come back a worse person. So why not go on a mission? Why not share what you love so much and something that has forever changed you as a person?
