Hi I'm Megan

I grew up in Idaho. I am a daughter, a sister, and a friend. I am a runner, reader, and student. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up a member of the church in Idaho, and I have always loved this sweet gospel. I cannot imagine my life without it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this gospel and I know of the power it gives me in my life. There is no greater thing on earth than being a part of this church - the true church.

How I live my faith

I exercise my faith by letting Heavenly Father shape who I am. I live the commandments and follow the guidance I receive from Him. In part, this shows Heavenly Father the love I have for him.

What is being a Mormon like?

Megan
Being a Mormon is the BEST thing ever! However, there is so much more to being a Mormon than simply being baptized in the church and proclaiming the title. Being a Mormon brings so much JOY, but there are steps members have to take in order to have that joy constantly: pray and study the Book of Mormon daily, attend church weekly, remember baptismal and temple covenants, and seek always to please your Heavenly Father. When these things are done out of the goodness of your heart because you are striving to be close to Him, life seems easier and so good because of the testimony that Jesus Christ is your Savior and suffered for your sins. It differs from other religions because of the Book of Mormon. With the Book of Mormon, questions of the soul can be answered! And there is no way to deny that with the Bible and the Book of Mormon the true gospel of Christ has been restored to this earth. When you do the things God asks of you, being a Mormon is so SWEET! Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Megan
Members of the church are not required to serve missions. Worthy young men are strongly encouraged to serve, however, sometimes things in their life keep them from doing so. Sisters, on the other hand are simply given the opportunity and they choose to serve for all sorts of reasons. Personally, I chose to serve a mission because I know of the joy this restored gospel has brought into my life, and I wanted to be able to share that joy with people everywhere! Show more Show less
