Hi I'm Megan

I'm a Colorado girl. I'm a daydreamer. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Colorado girl, born and raised. I love that fact and boast it - probably too much. The only place I love more than Colorado is France. For as long as I can remember I have loved the French culture, the people, and the language. (I also grew up with a mom obsessed with France, so it's only natural that I am too.) In high school I took four years of French and loved every second of it. Imagine my elation when I was called to serve a mission - in Paris, France. I will leave on my mission February of next year and could not be more excited to serve the Lord. I currently attend BYU-Idaho and have every intention of returning after my mission. I am majoring in history (not sure what area specifically yet) and hope to get my PHD in Anthropology. I love learning about past people, places, and cultures and can't wait to learn even more about them! Among other things, I love doing family history and genealogy. It is my favorite pastime, besides writing. Learning about my ancestors' lives truly brings me happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Well, that's easy. I know that this church is true. I have felt the Lord's love and confirmation that this is the correct path for me and for all of his children. I have felt his love. I want everyone to be able to feel that! I know he is there and that he is truly looking out for each and every one of us! He is waiting to answer our prayers, waiting for us to come to him. He has forgiven me of my sins and I know that all can be clean if they turn to him and repent. That is why I am a Mormon. He is love, He is forgiveness, He is comfort, He is peace, and He is our God. And this is his Church. And I would follow him to the ends of the earth.

How I live my faith

Throughout my life I have strived to be an "example of the believers" in everything I do. Whether it is standing as a witness of Jesus Christ of simply smiling at someone I don't know, I do my best to show people who I am. While attending BYU-Idaho, I was given the calling of Sunday School Teacher. I loved my class and the opportunity to teach those my age. It was a bit intimidating at first, but it really strengthened my testimony and helped make a positive difference in my life. The calling helped me grow closer to Jesus Christ. I was able to learn more about his life, death, and resurrection than I ever could have had I not been asked to teach that class. Teaching people about my faith is one of my favorite ways to live it. So if you have any questions, ask away! I am always ready to listen, teach, and learn more.
