Hi I'm Kara

I grew up in Idaho. I love sports and reading. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first year at college, and look forward to pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering. When I am not too busy with school, I love to play all kinds of sports. My favorite is softball, and when I was in high school I had a lot of fun playing the position of catcher. I also love to read, and play the guitar and piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon because of the truth that can be found in the gospel and doctrine that it teaches. I love the knowledge that I am an actual daughter of my Heavenly Father, and I feel closer to Him as I study the scriptures. I also love the knowledge that I have a Savior and Redeemer who loves me enough to suffer and die for me. I know that Jesus Christ loves me, and is always there for me. I also love knowing that God still gives revelation to us today through modern day prophets. I also know that the gospel was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. The best thing about all of this is that I was able to receive a personal confirmation of all of these truths through prayer. Knowing these things allows me to feel like I have a purpose in my life. I have something to strive for, and even when I make mistakes, I can be forgiven.

How I live my faith

I am leaving very soon to serve as a full-time missionary. As a full time missionary, I will have the opportunity to share the gospel with those who are interested to learn more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In order to do this, full-time missionaries take time off of school, work, and other activities to dedicate all of their time to their calling. I feel very privileged to serve a full time mission because I know that the things that I will be teaching are true, and I can't wait to share them.
