Hi I'm JJ Gunnell

I love the Savior and doing everything possible to know Him more and be more like Him.

About Me

I was born in Utah but grew up in Idaho. I have moved around to many places throughout my childhood so I never really got the chance to grow up with certain people. I went to many different schools throughout my educational career. I got to meet many different people, but never got the chance to know a lot about them. Even throughout all my different schools I still managed to keep a best friend who I will cherish forever. During my Highschool career I grew to love acting. I acted in many plays. Also because of this, I grew to love and have an interest in filmmaking. I have been a Mormon all my life. I have also dealt with depression my whole life. But because of my faith I have been given divine help to get through my harsh troubles.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon saved my life. I suffer from depression and if it wasn't for love I have felt and the answers to my prayers, I would not be where I am now. The Lord has done so much for me, so I have decided to serve a mission to repay him. I know this is the true church. I believe that all prophets were prophets chosen by God. I believe Joseph Smith was a true prophet and he translated the Book of Mormon. And the Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion, I read it and know it's true. I am a Mormon, I know it, I live it, I love it.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. I study my scriptures and pray as much as I can. I must admit, it was difficult for me to serve in all my callings during Highschool, but I tried. After Highschool I started to take my mission very seriously. I repented of my sins and worked hard to prepare. I took my endowments out in the temple and have a strong testimony of the Temple. I love Christ and am in debt to Him forever.
