Hi I'm Jonah Griffith

I grew up in North Carolina. I love sports, anime, science, and math. I am studying to become a biomedical engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into the church as both my parents are members but my true conversion to the gospel came when I was in high school. I live in a small country town in North Carolina. I'm the middle of 5 kids. I love sports and anything athletic. Basketball is by far the best sport in the world! I absolutely love music. I love to sing and I also self taught myself to play the guitar, ukulele, and a little piano. I'm a nerd. Unlike most people I love math and science. I just love to learn. I was a student at UNC-Charlotte but I will be putting that on hold as I serve in the France, Paris mission!!

Why I am a Mormon

The main reason I am a Mormon is because when I was 12 years old my oldest sister was killed in a car accident. I had grown up in the church but I mostly went because I had awesome friends there that I really liked hanging out with, not for the gospel itself. I'll admit I was really angry at God for awhile. I couldn't fathom that my sister was gone. Then I reached a point when I had gotten past that rage and I sincerely wanted to know where she was, and if she was okay. That is when I got on my knees and asked my Heavenly Father for affirmation that my sister was okay, and that this Plan of Salvation I heard about in church all the time was really true, and that I would really get to see my sister again. I felt the Spirit so strongly in that moment that I knew it was true, that she was okay, and that we would be reunited beyond the veil. That is when I decided to really study the church and get a testimony of everything else in it, and truly become converted to this gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example to lose around me. I try to serve and exhibit love whenever I can, just like my Savior would. I also try to adhere to my standards and not lower them for anyone. I try to live just like Jesus Christ would. I also take any opportunity I can to share what I have learned and share whatever I can about this church to the people I know and those around me. I have a very strong testimony. This church has brought me so much happiness and has really brought me through some very, very difficult times. I want to share that happiness I have received to everyone I meet!
