Hi I'm Kalli Devlin

I claim Estacada, Oregon (near Portland) as my hometown. I am a sister, a daughter, a friend, but most importantly, I AM A MORMON!

About Me

I am currently a college student planning on majoring in Social Work. I love studying one of God's greatest creations: people. I hope to be a clinical therapist someday; I have suffered from depression and want to be able to help others in their quest for emotional healing and support. In junior high and high school, I took ballet, lyrical, and jazz classes. During my senior year of high school, I taught ballet classes in my basement. Dancing is such a beautiful form of expression and the sensation of losing yourself in the music is one of the best feelings in the world. I am a camera head; I love to take pictures of anything and everything. I am an amateur but I love it. My favorite color is brown and if I could spend all day in the library reading romance novels and psychology books, I would. I love doing yoga and shopping at antique stores. I have learned that joy can be found in the simple things. I find joy in wearing big comfy sweaters and walking barefoot. I find joy in the smell of rain and the

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a sincere testimony of the Book of Mormon. I know that it is a testament that God is the same "yesterday, today, and forever" (2 Nephi 29:9) and that He loves all of His children and wants us to have His word. I am a Mormon because I have seen and experienced that effects of the atonement of Christ. I know that he suffered for us so that we can have a way to overcome sin and adversity through Him. I am a Mormon because I have felt the love of my Heavenly Father as I have turned through the the pages of the Book of Mormon, within the walls of the temple, through the atonement, and as a result of sincere prayer. I am a Mormon because in the darkest times of my life and a midst my struggles, the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has been the only thing that has provided true healing, relief, and support.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading the Book of Mormon and having sincere and continuous prayer with my Heavenly Father. I attend church every Sunday to receive my spiritual nourishment of the week. Some Sundays, I teach a class in Sunday School for the younger children of the church. As a teenager, I attended seminary, a class that brought me closer to my Heavenly Father by studying the scriptures and the teachings and doctrine of the gospel. Now, I will be serving a mission for the church. For eighteen months, I will be inviting others to come unto Christ through faith in Jesus Christ and His atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
