Hi I'm Hannah Cote

I grew up in Missouri and I am on a mission in Hong Kong China. I am Mormon.

About Me

I am a sophomore at Brigham Young University Provo and I have deferred for a year and a half to complete a full-time mission in Hong Kong China. At BYU I am studying to be a Speech Pathologist. Ultimately my goal is to own my own private practice and to work specifically with children. I play the viola and have been playing for about 9 years. I love music SO much. I like to listen to anything from classical to alternative to 90's grunge to pop. I am a black belt in Judo, which is a Japanese martial art that involves throws, pins, chokes, and arm bars. I spent many years playing soccer, softball and volleyball but I finally decided to focus on my progression in Judo. I work as a camp councilor and at a Child Development center. I love working with children! Their unconditional love and innocence is truly inspiring. I love to do anything that is going to challenge me or teach me something new.

Why I am a Mormon

This Church brings nothing but absolute joy to my life. The principles of this gospel do seem restrictive to those outside our faith, and I understand it. However, once you live these commandments you feel the abounding freedom that each person receives consequently as they strive to do their absolute best to model their life after the Savior. Just having the knowledge of who I am, why I am here and where I am going after this life alone gives me such inspiration to press on and endure. Having a living prophet on the Earth today gives me such peace in knowing that the Lord has given us someone to provide instruction for us in

How I live my faith

I live my faith in basically everything I do. The principles of this gospel and my testimony of them mold every decision that I make. I love to tell people about my upcoming mission to China because it provides lots of opportunities to share with anybody and everybody a piece of this gospel that I love so much. Currently I am serving as the chorister and as a nursery leader in my ward. I love getting to stand in front of the church, leading the congregation in songs that are praises to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I also love working in the nursery and being able to teach the young children of the church basic doctrine and principles of Jesus Christ and or Heavenly Father that will help them build a testimony in the future. I love to participate in service projects and spent many years involved in Key Club. This club's main goal was to provide service opportunities and to raise money for a local charity that we sponsored. One of the big projects that we took on as a club was planning a color chalk run to raise money for one of our local charities. It was wildly successful and I will always remember the great feeling of accomplishment and pure love that I felt as we handed over the money we raised.
