Hi I'm Kris

I live in Texas. I am a nurse, a wife , mother and a grandmother.

About Me

I have worked as a nurse for more than 30 years. I have 4 children and 17 grandchildren. I just started back to school to go on for a Master's degree. Sounds crazy, huh. I enjoy sewing and cooking.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a multi-generational member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. My grandparents, great grandparents, and great great grandparents were members. It has become a very vital interwoven part of my life and being. I love the practical aspects of the gospel and the teachings which have helped me raise my children and live my life as best I can to follow the Savior. The gospel has been a very positive influence in my life.

How I live my faith

I volunteer for my church every Saturday and. I help teach the little children from ages 18 months - 3 years on Sunday. . I have also been involved in our local cities live Bethlehem project "Bethlehem Revisited. This is a whole city set back in the time the Savior was born. We tell the story of His birth. We have live animals, wonderful, craftsman, a market place, Roman soldiers and a manger.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Kris
I know that my family is a forever family. There is no organization on earth that can exalt a society and teach the principles of love, work, sharing , caring, and truth more that a family. I truly believe that a family is God;s school to teach us to become like Him. We learn more in our families than in any other institution. Families are our greatest resource and our most sacred organization. When our families are strong , our communities , state, nation and world will be stronger. Show more Show less
