Hi I'm Heather!

I am a Texas girl preparing to serve a mission in Brazil, and I'm a mormon!

About Me

Just a few things about me: I just love being around family and friends. I love making new friends! I like sports even though I'm not very good. I'm LOVE music. I play the french horn! I love my fellow church members. They are so wonderful! I work as a babysitter and it's the best job ever. I am not currently in school because I will be leaving for my mission to Brazil soon. I cannot wait to serve a mission and share the most important truths that bring us joy!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. My grandparents were converts to the church. I always knew that this is where I needed to be, but it took me a while to really find out for myself that it's all true. As I got older I made some poor decisions, and I'm so glad that I knew about this gospel because it's what got me through it. When I started to really seek for answers and act on my faith I was able to gain my own testimony. That's when I became truly converted to this gospel. For the first time I absolutely, without a doubt, knew that Christ's true church has been restored through a prophet, Joseph Smith, who was called of God. That testimony came through reading the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, and praying to know if these things were true. There's a special feeling of joy that comes with finding truth and gaining a testimony. I think it's because we know our purpose and we knew where we're going and we want to share it it with everyone so that they can feel this joy.

How I live my faith

I serve in my young single adult branch as a branch missionary. So I get to work with my friends and with the full-time missionaries all of the time! It's really the best thing ever. Through this calling, I have seen the gospel bless my life and the lives of others more than we could have ever imagined. It just shows me that God loves us so much and we have to trust in Him so that He can work miracles in our lives!
