Hi I'm Jeremy

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a grateful servant of the Lord, born of goodly parents. I love to paint, I love my friends, I love my family. I am serving as a full time missionary in Toronto Canada The gospel is something that has blessed my life, and can bless the lives of every person. Of this I am sure. I lived In Las Vegas for most of my life until my family moved to Sandy Utah in 2012. Today I am serving a full time mission and realizing what a blessing it was to grow up with the knowledge of the church. Often times I've wondered how to know of the truth, or lack there of, in the teachings of the church. The answer has always been right in front of me, ready at any point for me to understand it. The only way to know past the point of doubt that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and the prophet we have today is called of God is to pray. It is the only way. No amount of ancient artefacts or new-found historical records will ever parallel the testimony that comes from having a whisper of truth in your ear from the Holy Ghost. It is the best and most convincing evidence we could ever hope for. This is why I can say today that I know the Book of Mormon is true.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church as my family is LDS as well. That being said, I am attracted to goodness and the truth.... The members of the church, the lessons of the gospel, the fellowship of being a member, and the plan of happiness where I can return to my Heavenly Father with my family are the main points which tether my faith. Above everything though is the love I have for my heavenly father. I follow him because I have no where else to go. When you come to know the truth there is nothing else that you could, with a clear mind and a encompassing perspective, trade it for. The fullness of the truth leaves every worldly ideal of happiness and man made (or man mingled) philosophy wanting. I'm Mormon, not because I am blind, but because I have can now see.

How I live my faith

I try to be devoted. I slip up all the time but I like to think I get better as I go. Through the enabling power of Christ I don't have to pay for my sins and I don't ever have to walk the path of improvement alone. I pray as often as I have the desire to. I am putting school, work, friends, and family aside for 2 years in order to serve a full time mission in Canada. I strive to be the kind of man God can trust to do difficult things for him.
