Hi I'm Eric

I'm a computer nerd. I love going to the beach. I love making new friends. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am eighteen years old. I graduate high school in Hawaii in December of 2015. I have been recently called to serve in the Washington Vancouver mission and I leave January 6th, 2016. I love going to the beach here on Oahu, and I have really great friends. I like Hawaiian food, Chinese food, Mexican food, American food, italian food...you get the idea. I loved playing football until injury prevented me from continuing. I am also a nerd when it comes to computers, smartphones, or any electronic device. If you have a problem with your device, I'm the guy that could fix it in a blink of an eye. I enjoy mathematics and science, and not English. I love to work out by lifting weights, running, or playing fun sports. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it has influenced the quality of my life and I know it will for you too.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of Latter-Day Saints (aka. Mormons), and I was baptized into the church at eight years old. However, I have had numerous experiences in my life that confirmed the truthfulness of the Gospel. I know that when I have followed the teachings, I was more blessed in my life. That doesn't mean that life was perfect, but there was always a way to work through the hard times. I love the knowledge I have that Jesus Christ suffered for my sins and all I have to do is repent and come unto him, and endure to the end trying the best I can.

How I live my faith

I have spent a lot of time preparing for my mission so I generally am involved with the missionaries a lot. Otherwise, I am responsible for most of the young men, ages 16-18, and we plan events and fun stuff like that. Everyday, I study the doctrines taught in the scriptures, which include the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Meaningful daily prayer also ensures that I have strength to do my best everyday. I try my hardest to live the best I can according to the teachings in the scriptures.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

The main thing to remember about faith is that it has to grow. Compare faith to a little seed or a small flame, and it needs to be nourished and fed in order for it to grow. Since I have been in the church for so long, and have grown to love the Gospel, I try to exercise faith every day. Remember faith is believing without seeing. One of the biggest things I have faith in Christ is for my future. I know the road in my life is not going to go exactly as planned, but if I rely on Christ, I know he'll get me to the place I desire to be. Show more Show less
