Hi I'm Ben Christiansen

I grew up in Utah. I have lived in England, Germany and six different states. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force shortly out of high school, and over the course of my career, lived in 17 different homes. I retired as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer assigned to the F-15 Eagle fighter aircraft. I am a father of 7 children - 5 daughter and two sons. I went to college in the evenings for more than 10 years, earning a Bachelor's degree in Business and a Master's degree in Human Resource Management. After retiring from the Air Force, I worked as a Human Resource Manager in the garment manufacturing industry. I enjoy building and fixing things, wood working and auto mechanics are two of my favorite interests..

How I live my faith

My family means everything to me. As new job assignments moved us to different locations, I tried to help our children make these physical and emotional adjustments by participating as a team coach for youth basketball and soccer, being an adult adviser for youth summer camps, Boy Scouts of America and helping in the community as a Junior Achievement counselor. The Church has provided me a number of opportunities to participate and share my love of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been a teacher for young children in the Primary organization, a teacher and counselor for teen aged youth, a teacher and leader in Priesthood organization, a teacher of adult members for Gospel Doctrine and marriage and Family Relations. I have also had the joy of leading a congregation of British and American members as a Bishop.
