Hi I'm Cooper

I grew up in Utah. I'm serving a mission in California. I love the wilderness, music, friends and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a "young adult" and I am about to serve a mission for this church. I have grown up in a great place with truly amazing family and friends. I played football in high school. I also sung in choir and I acted. I love to hunt fish and be outside. I like to learn and become better all the time. In my spare time I hang out with my friends and do anything we feel like doing whether it is frisbee, video games, making movies, burning things, or talking about the mysteries of life. I am in a time at my life where everything is changing, and I am turning into who I will become for the rest of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in the church I have still had to find out for myself why I believe it to be true. I grew up going through the motions, going to church with my family, going to Sunday school and church activities without thinking. I was doing things and never really asking why I do them. But When I asked, I started feeling. Through experiences, trials, and circumstances I have faced, I know that this gospel is the one thing that helps me to feel the most true joy and happiness. Also through seeing other people including family members and friends face trials I have come to know the truth and the light. The most important way to understand if the things of this gospel are true is by a feeling and witness that comes through the holy ghost into your heart. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do the right things. The most important things are the simple things that we might take for granted everyday. I have learned through going to church to love the little things in life and to fellowship with others around you. We are all here together in the same world, why wouldn't we help each other become the best we can be? I have been the music director in my ward for the past 2 years. This means I conduct and lead the music and hymns of our church meetings. I love music and sing with my friends often. I love to draw closer to my father in heaven by taking part in nature and His creations.
