Hi I'm Brittany

I grew up in Idaho, am a sophomore at Southern Virginia University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in the smallest town (I swear). But love it. I love the way its taught me how to work and love. I love taking spontaneous trips to places I've never been before. I love seeing the world, taking pictures of it. I found my passion for photography in Virginia, where I went to a year of school. I love kayaking, cliff jumping, skydiving, fourwheeling, things that make my heart beat. I live to see new things, meet new people, and to make more memories. I've received my mission call to Viña del Mar, Chile. I can hardly wait. What better thing to do than serve the Lord and his people.

Why I am a Mormon

Everyone in the world is looking for one thing. Happiness. (it's that simple) Why am l a Mormon? It makes me HAPPY. The doctrine is so simple and true. I know this because of the way I feel whenever I pick up the Book of Mormon. I am one of those people who hates reading in general. BUT Reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible bring me so much light. It's unexplainable. I don't even have to understand whats happening in the book to feel the overwhelming power. Faith is a real thing. Everyone...EVERYONE makes mistakes. Big and small. I've made TONS of mistakes and because I have knowledge of the atonement, I know I can be forgiven of them. Everyone can be forgiven. It doesn't have to be hard. The Plan of Salvation! Holy, its the best. This plan gives us knowledge of before and after this life. Because of this plan, I know that after this life, I will be able to see my brother again. It is such a strength to me. God answers prayers. It might not be instant, but he will answer them. Having faith that he is there and answers prayers is hard. It's really hard to believe something that's not standing right before you. All it takes is a little belief that God is there for you. Forever and always. He loves all of us.......unconditionally. I love being a Mormon. It honestly makes me a happy person.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is so simple. It's just easy, because I love it. I enjoy having true happiness. I live it by doing the basic things, reading scriptures, praying, church...etc. But on the harder part, I live it by having FAITH. Faith in God. Faith that things happen for a reason. Faith that he hears my prayers. Faith that I can be forgiven. I'm not saying believing this is easy. But, I have NO QUESTION that this is the real, true church. Because I've seen all of the results. My prayers have been answered, countless times. My sins have been forgiven, I can feel the pain of them wash away. I feel Gods love. I'm leaving in a few weeks for a 18 months to share the gospel in Chile. I'm doing this because I want to share how much joy I've received from being apart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I want to show and help people have faith in the restored gospel.
