Hi I'm Carms

I grew up in the Philippines. I love adventures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to watch movies and surf the net. I also love talking to people and learning about their cultures and views in life. I just finished college and now I'm preparing for my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

My father is the first in our family who became a member of the church followed by my Mom. When I was a kid, I didn't like the church. I was closer to my grandma then who was not a member of the church. I was afraid of other kids at church and I didn't like associating with them. However, things changed months before I was baptized. I was baptized when I was 8. I attended Primary classes and I realized it was fun. That was the time my desire to go on a mission took its roots (And now I am going on a mission). The church really brought out the best in me. Now I am thankful that my Dad never gave up on us. And I am thankful that that eight-year old girl chose to be baptized. Had my family not been a member of the church, I don't know where we are now. Perhaps, we're not together and not as happier as now. The church made me realized how important families are. And families are the most important thing in this world. I came to believe that there is forever, that our families can be together forever. I always feel blessed and confident because I know when we do what's right, God will bless us. I want to be with my family forever and I pray that this be the desire of everybody.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher in Sunday School. My students are single adults of my age. I love to share what I have to them and at the same time listen to what they have. Every second Saturday of the month, women age 18 and above has this home making activity. But it's open to all who want to participate and learn. Here I learn how to cook dishes and how to make the home a more meaningful place to live in. Home making is my favorite part.
