Hi I'm Monica

I am the second oldest of 6 kids. I love to be around people and to make them smile. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated high school and I love to be outside. Camping, hiking, boating, exploring. Anything that has to do with the out doors. That is where I feel closest to God. Through some personal struggle I realized that the Lord needs to to serve a mission. So I have put my life on hold and am preparing to serve. I will attend college when I get back.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this is the only church that encourages us to ask questions. We don't have to take anyone's word for anything that is said. We are repeatedly told to "ask and te shall receive, ask and it shall be given you." In The book of Mormon and doctrine and covenants. As we ask we can receive a witness of the truthfulness of all things that are taught in the church. I have done so and I know that this is the true church. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God and that we have profits on the earth today. This is a church designed around family and love. It is a church where we work together to build one another up. We are truly a part of a bigger work. I had a plan for my life. As soon as I graduated I was going to move out of the house and begin college. Little by little God took the things I thought I wanted and then showed me a better way. I didn't leave for college, I'm not going to study what I wanted to study, I'm not even going to he school I thought I wanted. Instead I'm going on a mission and going to a different school with a different major. And i am so much happier. I'm glad that we never have to make decisions on our own. We always have a loving Heavenly Father to guide us in all we do. He can lead us to places we never even imagined. He wants us to succeed. With God on my side, how can I loose? That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I attend my family ward regularly and participate in the local institute classes when available. I am going to serve a mission in about two weeks and am doing my best to prepare myself to serve the people with all my heart.
