Hi I'm Jessica

I was born and raised in Utah. I love working with children and plan to become an elementary school teacher. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am currently taking some online classes to finish up my Associates Degree. I am also working at a local daycare. I was recently called to the Spain Malaga Mission and am so excited to serve the Lord and the people of Spain. In my free time I enjoy reading, biking, boating, wake-boarding, camping, watching movies and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have been fortunate to have the gospel as a part of my life since I was born. I don't know what life is like without the gospel and don't want to find out. I love having the companionship of the Holy Ghost. I love my family dearly and know that I can be with them forever if I keep the commandments. The gospel means so much to me and has brought me such great joy and has brought me closer to my Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I currently attend the young single adult ward in my area. I am serving on the mingles committee. This committee plans and prepare the after church mingles, which allows for the ward members to get to know each other. I also love to read the scriptures and am also reading preach my gospel and other gospel books to prepare for my mission. I strive to be an example of the believers (1st Timothy 4:12) in all I do.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Jessica
We do not worship Joseph Smith. He was the first prophet in this dispensation (latter days) and was instrumental in restoring the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and so he is an important prophet to us. He also translated the Book of Mormon from the gold plates and so that makes him important as well. Without him, we wouldn't have or be able to read the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
