Hi I'm Raeghn

I grew up in Maryland. I'm a wife and mother of 6 amazing children. I help my husband run a robotics company, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Arizona, but when I was two we moved to Maryland, where I spent my time growing up in a part member family. My dad was an atheist, and my mother was a non-participating Mormon. We went to church at Christmas and Easter. This meant, twice a year as a child, I had the chance to feel of the Spirit, and be taught the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Primary songs brought a feeling to my heart that I absolutely loved, and wanted to always feel. After my parents split up (when I was 16) my mother and I moved and the young women there sought me out. I started slowly coming to the gospel, was taught by missionaries about the gospel principles and started feeling the love of the Lord in my life. After graduation from High School, I attended a religious school (Rick's College - now called BYU-I), in Idaho. This was a life changing decision for me. I not only learned to truly live the life of a dedicated Mormon, but I learned the importance of the atonement, and the importance of trusting in the Lord and living so that I could continually have his spirit with me. I met my husband in my second year and we married and moved to Utah, where we have lived for 24 years. We have 6 children. Our oldest son died in 2010 in a car crash. While this has been heartbreaking to me, I also can now testify that the Lord has a plan and carries us in our grief. He loves us, and wants us to be happy! I love my life! My son is with me often guiding me from the other side.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have lived life without the Gospel, and I know how it feels to not be engulfed by his love, and his teachings. I find joy in living and serving in His restored Church. When I was younger, I didn't understand how a father could be in heaven and love everyone on the earth. It didn't seem possible to me. But as I've come to learn and search for the answers to this, I've come to not only understand it, but to feel of his love, in ways for me and for everyone I come in contact with. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us, cares for us, and puts people and trials into our life to help us be better and help us to understand him and his love more in our lives. I know that he would not leave us alone. He guides us with personal revelation and with revelation to all of us still today through a living prophet that is lead and directed by Him! He lives, he loves us, and he cares for each of us individually. I know he loves me, and he has a special plan for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith first in a personal way, as I study, ponder and pray to my father In Heaven, so that I can seek for His direction and follow it. I am blessed with a husband that guides our family in prayer and scripture study and we grow closer to the Lord and increase our faith as a family. I've been amazed to see the help of my Father in Heaven as I've taught my children and helped guide their lives on the path of living and loving him. I recently was called by God to lead the sisters in our ward (Group of people in our area). When the Lord called me to this position, I was humbled, and knew that this call is for me to grow and become closer to him. I'm excited to teach, lead and love the sisters in our ward and community, as I live in faith knowing that without the help of the Lord, I am nothing!
