Hi I'm Jonah Harmon

I grew up in Kaysville Utah. I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I'm serving a LDS Mission in Nuku'alofa Tonga. I'm a Mormon

About Me

My hobbies include snowboarding, camping, riding motorcycles, singing, and playing the guitar. I'm 20 years old and the oldest of my brother and sisters. After I serve my mission in Tonga, I plan on attending Utah State University. Where I want to study guitar and musical engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe and know that Jesus Christ died for us so that we may return to our father in heaven and be exalted in him. I was born in the Church, but through my high school years and a little of the summer after graduating I really struggled with not very good decisions. What really cemented my faith and testimony was when I had decided I didn't want to serve a mission any more so I was looking for a way out. I thought if I went and got another tattoo it would be a good excuse not to serve a mission. I drove to the tattoo parlor and my first blessing from god was when they had no openings that day. I walked outside before setting an appointment and a small feeling came to me to get in my truck and drive home. So I did. While driving home I thought of my Patriarchal Blessing, and in it it says that my tongue will be loosed to speak which ever language I am called to serve in. Right then it felt like I got smacked with a spiritual 2x4 and I decided I would do whatever and wait as long as it takes to get on a mission. I Love God.

How I live my faith

I was called as the assistant 11 year old scout leader in my ward, and fulfilling that calling has been an incredible experience to work with the boys. I also had the opportunity to be home-teaching companions with the bishop of my ward. I believe that the couple families I taught, actually taught me more and helped me get ready for my mission more then I could have ever taught them. I am now serving my mission in Tonga, Nuku'alofa. I live my faith by serving all the wonderful people of Tonga. I am dedicated to working to be able to truly bless the lives of the people of Tonga by helping them grow closer to our beloved Brother and Savior, Jesus Christ.
