Hi I'm Seth Kreutzer

I was raised in Colorado. I'm a football player, book worm, musician, convert, and a missionary!

About Me

I was previously a non-denominational Christian until I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and became the first and only member in my family. I love to read, play video games, play football, ride bikes, be with friends and family, and go hiking. I am currently on my mission in the Nevada Las Vegas West mission having the time of my life! I am a fun loving and happy person and I love to help people in any way I can. I am truly blessed with the people I have come to know and love, and I can't wait to go and meet new people!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for a multitude of different reasons, but the biggest reason I am a member of this church is because the Holy Ghost testified to me of the truthfulness of this gospel. I remember when I was still new to the idea of being a Mormon and I was meeting with the missionaries. The missionaries never forced me to do anything but they promised me that if I would simply read the scriptures (such as the Bible and the Book of Mormon), pray for an answer, and attend church, that I would be able to receive knowledge from our Father in Heaven telling me if it was true. They simply asked me to test it out so that I would know "whether it be of God"(John7:17) or if it was of men. After a while of doing so I remember, as I was sitting in church one Sunday, being filled with the Holy Spirit and feeling an immense joy. As I felt that joy the words entered into my mind that "This is the truth". Since then I have had that same Spirit confirm to me time after time of the truth and fullness of this gospel. And this experience can happen for anyone, if they simply "ask of God"(James1:5-6).

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a multitude of different ways. One of the biggest ways though is being an example to others. I am constantly striving to improve myself and follow the example that Christ gave us. I also love to share the things I learn about the gospel which is one of the reasons I wanted to serve a mission for two years of my life. I love to follow the commission that Christ gave to His disciples in John 21:17.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Seth Kreutzer
The reason it is so important to have the authority to perform a baptism is because it is the permission to act in Gods name. Without the Authority it is not bound in Heaven(Matthew 16:19) although it is a great show of faith and a wonderful experience. The difference is though that if you are baptized by proper authority, you will be clean of all sins and be able to start anew. I like to think of it in terms of a car. The car(baptism) is fueled up and ready to go and do what it is there to do. But if the car doesn't have keys(Priesthood Authority) then it can't do what it needs to do. Show more Show less
