Hi I'm Maggie Hale

I grew up in Park City, Utah. I am a student at the University of Utah who is taking time off to serve a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a ski town so I love to be outdoors. I love the winter and love to ski. Camping, backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, if it's outside, I'm in. I am student who is in their second year of college. I am studying Piano Performance as well as Pre-Medicine. Eventually, I will be on my way to medical school.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, born and raised. My parents were the same way. When I was eight years old, I was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Even as an eight year old, I knew that I wanted to be part of this church. The gospel has brought me so much peace and guidance throughout my life. I grew up in a place where there was a lot of resistance towards the LDS Church. So from an early age, I had to decide who I was going to be and what I was going to represent. I know that this church is true and I know that our Heavenly Father lives and loves everyone here on earth. I know that our prophets are called of God and that God speaks to us through them. I love being a Mormon and I know that it is the right thing.

How I live my faith

In my ward, my calling is the Chorister. I lead the congregation in singing during sacrament meeting and other classes during church. Even though I am not a teacher or a president, my calling is still important because music is something that everyone can feel. Everyone can connect through music. Since I am studying music myself in school, I know that music carries strong feelings of peace and comfort to individuals who listen. I have also been called to serve in the New York New York South Mission starting in January 2016.
