Hi I'm Matt Smith

I was born and raised in Texas, I am an avid musician, I love my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love people of all kinds and I love talking with those close to me. I love music more than almost anything else and I listen to it and play guitar/sing all of the time! I also love martial arts. I practiced for 3 years and got a black belt in Taekwondo. But most of all I love being active and helping others, learning new things, and I love my 11 nieces and nephews! Kids are the best thing to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that this church is the true church on the earth and that Christ Himself set it up and runs it daily. That is the most simple explanation why. I know that this is His gospel and I believe that by following His way I can not only be happier but more peaceful and loving and have a better life. This is truly the best way towards happiness in this life and the life to come. I know this, I feel it, and I have faith in it. I have seen what the gospel can do for those with willing hearts and pure minds and I want that for myself and those I love and cherish. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by practicing my ability to put my trust in the Lord and in His commandments and the men that He has called to lead His church in these last days. I exercise my faith by making choices that I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ would be proud of me for making and by standing up for my faith and taking care of my family and those around me. I live my faith by taking care of myself spiritually by attending church and actually studying the holy scriptures and praying to God daily, remembering to thank Him for all I have and ask him to benefit those around me. I always try my best to do better at things I know I struggle with and to increase my knowledge of the Savior and His gospel. I serve others and try not to look at anyone in a way that would be disheartening to my Father in Heaven.
