Hi I'm Daryl

I grew up in Dumaguete City, Philippines. I studied at Silliman University from nursery to my first year in college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old. I like playing soccer, basketball and tabletennis. I also like playing computer games especially Dota 2. I also trained MMA for a short time. I also started mountain biking. I finished my first year in college and stopped schooling because I am preparing for my mission. I will be serving my mission in the Philippines Butuan Mission on November 20, 2015.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born with Mormon parents. They were married in the temple. I grew up in the church. I was taught the Gospel since I was little. Our family lived the Gospel culture which sometimes contradicts the culture or traditions of our country. In my high school years I was influenced by my peers who where non-members. I was trying to fit in. I was a bit lost and did not follow some of the standards but I was strictly obeying the word of wisdom because it was clear in my mind what the consequences were. When I was in my first year in college I became a bit mature especially on the spiritual aspect. I started studying the scriptures seriously and my prayers were already sincere but I still relapsed sometimes. After finishing my first year I decided to go on a mission. I prepared and with diligence but sometimes I become lazy. I started to gain more knowledge about the Gospel. I have seen miracles happened in my life. Even though they were just small miracles, It strengthened me and my spirituality. By studying sincerely and diligently the Gospel of Jesus Christ I know that the Church is true and that Jesus Christ is true and that He lives.

How I live my faith

I am a ward missionary and family history consultant. I work with the full-time missionaries in our ward. I already experienced teaching our young men a few times. I have also been somewhat a good example to my friends by strictly obeying the word of wisdom and being forgiving. I was active in church activities and a bit less active in my studies.
