Hi I'm Tim

I grew up in Utah. I taught school most of my adult life. I love the outdoors. I love my family. I love the Lord.

About Me

My favorite things in life are my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ, my family which includes my wife, 7 children and their spouses, and 25 grandchildren, and work and Nature. I love to serve and help others especilly in the Gospel. I love to be with and do almost any kind of activity or work with my Family. I love to work with and be around nature. I love camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, landscaping, photographing all kinds of animals and trees and flowers and other natural wonders, especially with family members. I love to see others improve or projects accomplished well through my personal efforts and help.

Why I am a Mormon

As a youth I was taught to pray sincerely and with real intent to my Father in Heaven. I felt like I was talking to a perfect, immortal man, that knew me and what was best for me when I prayed. I went to church weekly, I attended seminary, and I tried to do what I thought was right. When I finished high school I received a full ride scholarship to play football at a major college. When I came home from college that first year for the Thankgiving holiday I decided to talk to my bishop about serving a full time mission. After some discussion it became apparent I would have to sacrifice much to serve the Lord. Because of my belief in the Church and wanting to do what the Lord wanted, I decided to go on a mission. After a very short time on my mission it became obvious to me that just having a belief in something is not the same as knowing it. I could not continue teaching people the church was true if I did not know myself. I decided to do exactly what I was asking investagors to do. I read the Book of Mormon and other scriptures. I read many other church related books and even some anti mormon literature. I pondered the messages and tried to feel the spirit contained in those books. I prayed very sincerely, with real intent, to know the truthfulness of what I was reading. I asked many questions from a number of religious people in different faiths. Eventually I experienced a great change in my heart, I was converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ by the Holy Ghost. That conversion has affected every decision I make in my life. Since that time to the present day I can say I know my Father in Heaven lives and loves me. I know my Savior, Jesus Christ lives and that he paid for my sins and died for me and everyone elce. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and through him Jesus Christ restored his Gospel on the earth. I know we have lliving prophets on the earth today. If we will follow them we can live eternal lives in our Father in Heaven's kingdom.

How I live my faith

I have always accepted and tried to do my best in any service type activity including: After school activities, community sport programs, board of directors assignments, and many different church callings. Church callings have ranged from teaching youth to administrative bishopric work and stake callings. I have had callings where I needed to spend many hours doing service weekly and was happy and willing to do so. I have learned to love others and I try to sacrifice appropriate time for them.
