Hi I'm Emma

I grew up in the Miami - Ft. Lauderdale area and I study English in Hawaii. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I seriously enjoy reading, writing, and exploring; I'm not above getting on the bus to some random place with my book and notebook or just skating to the beach. I adore people, love attending college, and have a penchant for curiosity followed by research. I come from a crazy family with seven children — all of whom I love with my whole heart!

Why I am a Mormon

This Church, or rather, God's love, is something that I deeply cherish. I see it in the beauty of the earth, as well as in the people that inhabit it -- and in what those people create and say and emanate. However, there are some things in the world that have previously had me trapped in darkness -- things that I will not speak of here. In those days where I felt there was no way out, I exhausted every option that professed a solution; but, none completely worked. Sadder still, was that no one whom I interacted with could tell. It was like I was slowly drowning, and no one knew. One night, when I was at my absolute lowest, and I felt like utter filth, I prayed. That single prayer changed the course of my life and led me down a path that enabled me to become clean, serve a mission, and go through the Temple. That prayer changed me so, because I felt truly of God's love. And if He loved me, then maybe it was worth it to try and change. His unconditional love was all I needed that night, and every night since.

How I live my faith

At college I am lucky to have previously helped organize and lead activities for students every Monday night, as well as to have taught a class on genealogy each Sunday afternoon. Currently, I am psyched to be able to give my time as a Missionary in Arcadia, CA.
