Hi I'm Jerrod Crouch

I grew up in Nevada and California. I love Volleyball. I am the oldest of four Children and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently an 18 year old young man about to serve a LDS Mission in Jackson Mississippi for two years. I am the first on my dads side of the family to serve a mission. After my mission i would like to go to BYU Idaho and potentially become a real estate broker of a financial consultant. I am the oldest of 4 children and the only boy. My dad, when i was 5, decided that he did not want to be a printer anymore and totally changed his career and started taking classes to eventually become a doctor. He is now a licensed Family Medicine Physician. Due to his education, I have moved around a lot and have gotten to meet a lot of new people and expose myself to different environments. I love playing volleyball. I played for my school team as well as a junior olympic team and I was even debating playing college before my mission but I turned down a lot of offers to serve the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon and its what I always knew when it came to lifestyle but it may not have been what I always believed. The reason I stayed in this gospel is because of the fact it stays the same wherever I go and that the beliefs and customs are the same beliefs and customs that Jesus Christ taught to His followers on his time on this Earth. We don't believe that this church was made by Joseph Smith. We just believe that through him restoring it,we have the same gospel that the people who lived in the time of Christ had and that is something I have always really admired and cherished.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly trying to be examples to others and staying involved in church activities because I am constantly surrounded by people with the same standards and outlook on life as me. I love the activities that the Mormon church provides for the youth and it was things that gave me a lot of friends anywhere I lived because the activities were the same every place that I moved to, the only thing that changed was the people I interacted with on a normal basis. Through the church I have earned my Eagle Scout which was a great honor and things like that were ultimately what built my faith and made me live in my faith.
