Hi I'm Kaitlyn Richardson

I grew up in Washington just 20 minutes from seattle. I'm the youngest of 4. I've always been Mormon and have loved it.

About Me

I grew up just outside of Seattle, and I love rain. It makes me happy. Since I'm from Seattle I am also a huge Seahawks fan. I did soccer for 6 years and gymnastics for 5, and really enjoyed both. I play the flute and the piccolo and like listening to almost every kind of music. I went to BYU-Idaho for a year and am studying graphic design. Thanks to one of my roommates I am now a complete nerd. I love Sherlock, Once Upon a Time, Walking Dead, Star Trek, anything Marvel, The 100, Arrow, and many more. Basically Netflix is awesome. I am currently serving a mission in Minnesota.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I have grown up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints the only reason I continue to be one is because I have a testimony of it's truth that I have gained for myself. During difficult times in my life I have remembered the principles that I was taught growing up and tried them out for myself. Through doing this I have come to know that this church has the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, that the Book of Mormon is the word of god and is applicable and can be a source of strength in our lives. I've also come to know that I have a loving heavenly father that knows me individually, listens to me when I speak to him, and cares about my individual struggles and triumphs no matter how small. Also that he want's to help me and can if I ask for that help through prayer. This gospel and church brings so much joy and certainty in my life and I am so thankful for it in my life. I would not be the person I am today without it.

How I live my faith

Since I am currently on a mission I live my faith by sharing it with those around me and helping build others faith in Christ. Previous to my mission I lived my faith by actively participating in assignments given by ward leaders and during my last semester in college served on the leadership over the women of the congregation.
