Hi I'm Lexi Van Tassell

I've grown up in The United States of America and have been called to serve an LDS mission in Peru. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play soccer, the piano and enjoy doing fun things with my family and friends. My favorite thing to do is ride my horse up in the mountains with my dog. I have the opportunity to serve an LDS mission in Peru and leave for that in October. I have done humanitarian work in Tonga and it was an incredible experience.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know with out a doubt in my mind that this is the true church on earth. I have read the Book of Mormon and gained a testimony of its teachings. I know that Joseph Smith restored the fullness of the gospel to the earth in this last dispensation. This gospel brings me so much peace and joy in my heart. I feel as though I know the secret to life at times because of the comfort this gospel and its teachings bring to me. Because of it, I know that my family can be together forever. I know that I have a purpose and direction while I am on this earth. I know that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me and that Jesus Christ died on the cross and atoned for my sins so that I can return and live with them again if I do my best while I am here on earth and obey and seek to do what has been asked of me. I know that Heavenly Father still hears and answers our prayers. If we look closely, we can see how he blesses us and is mindful of us in everything we do everyday. I love this gospel. I know that it is true and am so happy that I have that testimony and faith. These things I say in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I have served in leadership positions in my ward serving and helping other girls my age. Right now, I am preparing to serve as a full time missionary in Peru for 18 months. I am looking forward to the opportunity and am excited to teach the people about our loving Heavenly Father and his restored gospel on earth.
