Hi I'm Fran

I grew up in San Diego. I am married and have eight children and 13 grandchildren. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I met in San Diego, California when we were 9 years old! We attended school together from the 4th grade until we graduated from high school. We've been married for almost 41 years and moved to Utah shortly after we were married. We have 8 adult children and 12 beautiful grandchildren. I like to snorkel, to ride my bike, and to spend time in the sun. I really enjoy helping people and spending time with friends. But most of all, I love to spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I did not grow up in a family that attended church, I have always known that God is aware of me, that He loves me, and that He wants me to be happy. Shortly after my husband and I were married, two missionaries from the LDS church taught us about the restored Gospel and about the Plan of Salvation. I asked them the following question: "If Adam, Abraham, Noah, Moses and other prophets were called by God to lead His children back in biblical times, why don't we have prophets on the earth today?" They told us that God called prophets in ancient times and He has called prophets during modern times as well. That made total sense to me and I wanted to know more. The missionaries answered so many questions that I had for most of my life. I know God loves all of His children, enough to send His Son Jesus Christ to be the Savior of the world. He died for us and lives today as the Resurrected Lord. I am so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Volunteer work has always been an important part of my life; at school, at our local hospital, with hospice patients, and in my church. I am happiest when I'm helping others. I am also happiest when I share my religious beliefs with others. Talking about the Lord and how He has blessed me is not difficult at all! I try to treat others as I would like to be treated. I know that our Father in Heaven loves ALL of His children. Knowing that I can "be His hands" while on this earth is how I live my faith.
