Hi I'm Alison

I grew up in Murray, Utah. I went to Utah State and am currently serving a mission in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love the mountains and basically anything you can do in them, whether it be hiking, backpacking, rock repelling, camping or fishing. The green lush mountains of Northern Utah are where I feel most at home and can find the most peace and enjoyment. I went to college for a year studying Biology and Chemistry, and found out while I was there that I also love country swing dancing and human biology! I really want to be a delivery nurse because I love working with women in particular and couldn't imagine doing anything more rewarding than helping new lives be born. I left my education for 18 months to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and am currently serving in the Rancho Cucamonga, California mission. I left everything because I feel so blessed to have the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life, and want to share the joy and extreme happiness that I feel with everyone around me. I love my family more than anything, and only left them because I want other families to experience the same joy that I have been able to experience.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an active Mormon home and have been a member of the Church since I was 8 years old, and feel so lucky to have been raised in this wonderful gospel. It is through going to church and reading the Book of Mormon individually that I've been able to gain my strong testimony of Jesus Christ as my Savior and Redeemer, and have come to feel of His love for me and know that this really is His church restored again to the earth in all of its fullness. I know that God is my loving Heavenly Father and that He is very mindful of each and every one of us, and is always wanting to help us because of His strong love for us. This knowledge has brought me so much peace and comfort, and has gotten me through some of the hardest and most challenging moments of my life, some of which are still going on now. I have learned to truly rely on the Savior and put my trust in Him, and have found so much happiness as I've tried to center my life on His teachings and follow His perfect example. I know that if we but put our trust in Him and press forward with faith, that He will always provide a way for us to accomplish the things that He asks of us, and when we do things will work out better than we could have ever imagined.

How I live my faith

While I was at Utah State, I taught all of the women in our ward, which is something that I really enjoyed, even though I originally thought I would hate teaching. I currently am a missionary for the church, and go around serving those that I see and teaching individuals and families about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, and how they can come closer to Him by living His teachings. This gives me so much joy and makes every day a new adventure and worth living!
