Hi I'm Anika

I'm a YouTuber. I'm an artist. I'm a musician. I play basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in a family of 9. There is my Mum and Dad also my 4 brothers and 3 sisters (including me). I enjoy doing lots of things, I enjoy being adventurous and trying new things, whether it be outside or a new art technique. My family, and friends are very special to me, they mean so much I would do ANYTHING for them! We all have good times together and do fun things! My friends and I always try new things and record a lot of videos, even though for them it can sometimes be embarrassing, but we always try our best to lift each other up and be examples to those around us. I also love playing sports, basketball would have to be my favorite, it always has been, plus I'm a big Stephen Curry fan. For my future I would love to get married and have my own big family, also, become an artist or musician.

Why I am a Mormon

I don't have a HUGE story on why I am Mormon, it's just who I am. Though I can say this: through every hard time, every doubt, every fear, every road block in my way. The gospel is the only thing that can pick me back up, it strengthens me and can always shine through in dark moments. For me it is true happiness, and I wouldn't replace it for anything.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the 2nd counselor of our 6 member Laurel group for Young Womens. It is always a joy to serve in a calling. I also attend morning seminary everyday and have never missed....that could also be because my Mum is the seminary teacher. But I work hard in seminary and have honored every year so far. In school, people can always tell that I am a Mormon, they say: "Wow! You have a big family! Are you Mormon or something?" or "What? You don't swear?! Pshhhh, what are you Mormon?" and the answer every time is YES! I've never had a problem standing up for my faith, and love to tell people about it, I am also asked many times about our church, I've even been asked by teachers! That is a special gift I have been blessed with, and am grateful for it, I'm a missionary in my own way every day. My friends are an important way for me to live my faith too, we always lift each other up and support each other to make sure we don't slip up. I always try to be a good example, to my younger siblings, and the people around me, luckily, not a lot of people will tease me for my religion (probably because I'm a pretty bold person) and for the way I live, in fact they respect me for being an "actual Mormon" as they would call it!

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Anika
I believe prayer is one of the main components to having faith. When you have a stable relationship with God and say prayers often, it can lead you to feel hopeful and more positive. Having a positive outlook in life can be another way to show faith, and increase it. When you truly believe that good things will happen even though you don't know what lies ahead, it can nourish and strengthen your faith in relying on Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
