Hi I'm NinaJo

I am from Ogden, Utah. I love to sing and compose music. I am currently a missionary in the Berlin, Germany area. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a sister missionary for the church in the Berlin, Germany mission. I sing and play the piano. I have been writing songs since I was five. I have a background in the Theater arts and love sharing my talents with others. I hope to become a great musical composer for the church someday. I also love being outdoors, and doing things such as: hiking, biking, running, and star gazing. I have been born into an amazing family with a Mom and a Dad who love each other and each of us children very much. I have two older brothers and a younger sister. As a family we love to boat and snow ski. Both of my older brothers served LDS missions. One in Brazil and the other in Tahiti. My Dad also served in the Alpine, Germany mission.

Why I am a Mormon

God has always been an active part of my life. I became familiar with the whisperings of the Holy Spirit at a very young age. Growing up I learned very quickly the difference between good and evil. As a little girl I remember always desiring more than anything to please my Heavenly Father. I've simply always known one thing: I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, and who wants me to do what's right. All my decisions have always hinged on that knowledge. My parents raised me in the LDS (Mormon) church, while always allowing for me to develop my own beliefs and make my own choices. My beliefs were challenged as I entered into my teenage years. I had to decide for myself what I believed and who I wanted to become. Through years of prayer, study, and exhibiting my faith, I began to develop a personal witness of Jesus Christ and this, His church. I read the Book of Mormon and felt of its truthfulness. I've felt the power of the Holy Priesthood and know that it is the power of God. I know God loves each of us, His children, more than we can imagine. He cares and knows us perfectly. He wants more than anything for each of us to keep His commandments and return to live with Him again. I also have a personal testimony of the reality of Satan and his followers. They do all they can to make us miserable. But Satan has no power over us when we keep the commandments of God. We can have joy, and avoid the sorrows of sin because of Jesus Christ our Savior. All sorrow and pain is swallowed up in the Joy of Jesus Christ. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know these things to be true. Because living church standards and obeying God's commandments brings me joy and helps me overcome my weaknesses and sorrows.

How I live my faith

Before my mission, I served in various youth callings such as the president over my age group of girls in the ward. I also served as a council member for the youth of my stake, where I helped with planning and executing activities to involve the youth in our stake. I was on our high school's Seminary council, where I helped plan activities to involve the LDS youth in my high school. As a council we worked to strengthen and encourage the youth in our school to participate in the church and our seminary program. Now that I am on a mission I have the incredible privilege to work full time. As missionaries we teach those not of our faith about the church. We encourage them and those who have become less active to join us; and to experience the joy that comes from living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love sharing the Gospel with anyone and everyone. It is such an amazing blessing to be able to come to a different culture, with people I've never met and do my best to perform the work of The Lord.
