Hi I'm Tory

I grew up in Utah. I have yet to do anything truly spectacular with my life apart from the fact that I'm Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from a high school graduating class consisting of roughly one hundred students, and attended one year of college. I'm now preparing for a full time mission and will be serving in the Mexico Puebla South mission. I love music, and stories, whatever form they come in, be it books, movies, t.v. or even video games.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe in better things to come. I believe in a God who loves all of his children unconditionally. I believe in second chances, and if the need arises, maybe even third and fourth and fifth chances. I believe that there is far more good in the world than bad. I'm a Mormon because I believe in Christ and his everlasting atonement and the love of our Heavenly Father will never betray us, it will set us free.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith one day at a time. I think coming into a religion sometimes people get too caught up in all the 'can'ts' and especially in the LDS religion, the prospect of eternity and temple covenants can be overwhelming and even a little frightening. As I prepare for my mission, to commit nearly two years of my life in complete service to the lord and the people of Mexico, I find it easiest just to look at things one day at a time, and yes have eternal perspective, but remember that everyone is human, the atonement is perfect and there for us all and our Heavenly Father didn't put us on this earth to fail. And tomorrow is always a fresh start, a blank slate to try and do something amazing.
