Hi I'm Caela

I'm a screen printer, a painter, an ice cream enthusiast, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the middle child; an island with a 5 year gap on either side of me. I have been interested in art for as long as I can remember, and I am a screen printer by trade. I am obsessed with craftsmanship and love working with my hands. I am an observer; I love to learn. I am easily intrigued. I have often said that my hobby is collecting new hobbies. I love movies (especially when Paul Newman or James Dean are involved), I listen to a lot of music, and I am unendingly enamored with old Time and Life books. I used to be a fencer. I went to Catholic school for most of my childhood, although I grew up Mormon. I love discovering the unexpected, simple joys of life. I love to be outside and I intend to see as much of this great big world as I possibly can.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but I never really took that membership seriously. I would go to church, although much of the time my mother had to drag me out of bed to do so. One Sunday, a friend expressed to me that she didn't like to share her beliefs with others because she didn't know for sure that the Church was true-- that the Gospel was real. Growing up in the Church, we had heard so many people talk about the moment when they read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know it was true, and then they knew in that moment that it was true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly trying to keep an eternal perspective. The Lord has a plan for all of us and we can trust in Him. When we do, we may find that our outlook is a little brighter, and our load a little lighter. It is ever so important to be of good cheer. The Lord intends for us to enjoy life, not just endure it. This, the Lord's gospel, gives life purpose.
