Hi I'm Emily Puckett

I am a southern California girl currently serving in the Alpine German-Speaking mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be outdoors. I have ran full and half marathons and completed a Half Ironman.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the church but I had to decide for myself if I believed the things I was being taught. When I was sixteen years old, I fasted and prayed for months to know if the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the true church on the earth today. One day as I reflected on the things I had been taught I felt a burning feeling inside of my chest, as if my heart would explode. I knew that it was the spirit telling me the church was true.

How I live my faith

I attend church each Sunday. I find myself looking forward to Sundays because it is a day when I can rest from the business of life and focus on my Savior Jesus Christ. But living my faith is so much more that just going to church every Sunday. I pray to God many times a day thanking Him for the many blessing in my life and asking for His support in my trails. I read my scriptures daily. I try my best to look outside myself and find ways to serve and love others the way Jesus Christ would if He were on the Earth today. As I do these things I am filled with peace, gratitude, joy, and an eternal perspective that comes only through living the gospel of Jesus Christ.
