Hi I'm Yvonne

I grew up in the foster care system until the age of 14, I am a convert, I am a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the foster care system from 6 years old until I was 14 years old. I then was put on a plane and sent to Utah to see my sister whom I hadn't seen in several years. My mother had mental illness and my father was unknown at the time. Before the age of six, I lived with my mother, two older sisters, one which I really didn't remember living with us becuase she was married and gone before any memory of her at home, and my brother. We moved back and forth from Michigan to Florida and my grandparents were always with us taking care of the family. When I was about 5 or 6 my grandfather passed away in Florida, and we went back to Michigan where we landed at an aunts house. She also had mental issues (unknown by me at the time) but while there, my mother was hospitalized and the children removed from her custody and sent to homes. After living in a couple of different places, I ended up in Lansing, Michigan with a wonderful family that gave me much and taught me many things. At 14 I was sent to Utah where I found the Church, was baptized and have been greatly blessed ever since. I have faced many challenges in my life but the one thing that has always remained constant is the love that I know my savior has for me. I am happily married (second marriage_fist was abusive) to a wonderful man who cherishs me and encourages me in all things. Between the two of us, we have 7 children and 10 1/2 grandchilren.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, I know that the Book of Mormon is another testement of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that this is the true church and I know that God the Father and Jesus Christ appeard to a young boy, Joseph Smith, who was searching for his own answers. If you want to know for your self, anything, ask of God, in the name of his son, Jesus Christ, and he will tell you. I bear this witness to you that I know that Jesus is the Christ and I know that his coming will be soon. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen I am a Mormon and if you would like to be one too just ask.

How I live my faith

I am a family history consultant and the assistant ward libraian on Sundays. I love to do indexing (if you want to know more about that you can ask me) I am also a visiting teacher. I work during the week in an Assisted Living Community, where I am able to offer my services every day of the week to those in need.
