Hi I'm Matthew

I live in a city called Ancaster, Ontario Canada which is in between Toronto and Niagara Falls. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with a love of comics and superheroes. My favorite is Batman because he proves that you don't need super powers to be a hero. I am also a fan of Nascar and cheer on Kevin Harvick. Fishing has become one of my favorite things to do because I love the outdoors and it is very calming. The feeling of catching a fish is exciting. The Savior said "I will make you fishers of men" and at this moment I am preparing to serve my mission in the California Anaheim Mission. I was diagnosed with a intellectual disability at a young age and have always stayed positive knowing to never give up especially because I know I am a child of God. I love my parents dearly and cherish every moment with them. My mother has helped me overcome my disability and hers and my dad's love have given me courage to face my challenges head on.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were converts to the Church when they were in high school. I have been taught about the Church all my life but also they have taught that it is my free choice to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ and find out for myself if it is true. I know of myself that it is and that is why I am giving two years of my life to serve a mission like my dad who served in London England.

How I live my faith

I enjoy giving back to my community and serving in the Church. I am a ward missionary and often go out with them to testify of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have a lady my dad and I visit and we help her with things around her home that need to be moved or clean up of heavy broken branches or shoveling of her snow. At Youth Leadership events I have been given responsibilities to lead others. I love to serve in any capacity.
