Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in Texas and I live in Idaho now. I am 22, married and studying to be a teacher. I'm an EMT, a hunter, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Chris, I am 22 and I live in Idaho Falls, ID. I am originally from Houston, TX, where I grew up. I enjoy the outdoors, such as hunting, horse riding, kayaking, rock climbing, etc. I am currently in transition while at college, studying to become a teacher. I spend my free time with my wife, serving where we can and spending time with family and friends, making new friends whenever possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the sweet, powerful witness from the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon really is authentic, inspired scripture that testifies of Christ. I am a Mormon because I believe that Joseph Smith was a Prophet, that God the Father and God the Son really did appear to him in a grove of trees and laid the groundwork for the restoration of Christ's true, original Church on the earth again. I am the only Mormon in my family, but I know without doubt that it is where God would have me be, and that through the Priesthood housed within the Church, I can come closest to my God than by any other means, man or organization.

How I live my faith

I know that Jesus Christ really did live, really did atone for me, really was crucified, and really did rise again three days later. This profound doctrine has changed and shaped my life. I live my faith, and remember Him, through seeking to become more like Him and doing what He would do, such as serving my fellow man, and being a true friend to those around me.
