Hi I'm Justin Peter Clemons

I was born in Salt Lake City, but moved around a bit before we finally settled in Cookeville, TN. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Before my mission, I enjoyed video games, netflix, and hanging out with my friends just like any other teenage boy. However, throughout my high school career I was thoroughly involved in our school's choir. I ran cross country for 9th and 10th grade and then swam the last two years. I enjoyed both. I never was a particularly talented athlete, but I was active and I had fun. Also, I participated in school musicals such as King and I, Les Miserables, and West Side Story. Lastly, I'm an Eagle Scout. est show in the state. After all the merit badges, I had to plan and complete a project. I chose for my project the building of a pavilion next to our local middle school playground. The project was hard, but I got it done and to this day, I'm proud of it. I hope my mission to give me a similar sense of accomplishment.

Why I am a Mormon

First of all, I was born into the Church. I'm a fourth-generation Mormon and was raised with all these beliefs. However, when I was about 15, I gained my own testimony of the Gospel and I truly do believe in this restored gospel. If I didn't, I would not be serving a mission (as previously stated).

How I live my faith

Well, first of all. If I didn't have a thorough testimony of the gospel, I wouldn't be going on a mission. I would rather be going to school, dating, and enjoying my life. However, I believe that God wants me to go on a mission. So far, it's the best decision I have ever made. Even before I had fully committed to serving a mission, how I lived is proof of my commitment to my faith. Mormons don't drink, do drugs, smoke, drink coffee or tea and as such, I followed these rules and never tried any of these things. Not just because it's a rule of our faith, but because I really do believe it was commanded of God and it's for our benefit. Lastly, I chose to go on a mission and after filling out all the necessary paperwork, I was called to the California Rancho Cucamonga Mission and I was excited, my family was excited, it was all very exciting. And I intend to fulfill my mission and come home to continue living my faith. I love my God. I love my Savior. All my actions and decisions should just reflect that in a simple way.
