Hi I'm Lei

Hi! I'm a Filipina. I'm a math teacher. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love to study and I also love to teach. So I took up education major in math. I also love to tour around, be with nature and know people of different races. I like to walk during morning. And I love children.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that during my hardest times as well as the easiest times of my life, the Lord has been mindful of me. Back when I was seventeen, I was really searching for a purpose or even asking what am I to do with my life. I felt like I'm literally lost and I didn't know what to do. I kept thinking of the future and what will happen to me. It was those crucial times that I thought that hope is lost. I don't even know who to talk to, I felt a deep despair in my heart that I've never experienced before. I thought that I'm really doomed. During the summer of that time, me, my sister and my mom went to Hawaii for a vacation. To my surprise, we have been taught by the missionaries there. I never thought that all of my pain will be eased by the comfort of their message. That I could be clean again and start a whole new life. I didn't know that my silent prayers were being heard on High. It was just so amazing to see and realize that the Lord has led us to a place where He helped me personally know our Savior Jesus Christ. Everytime I recall my story, it makes me more grateful to God that He has a plan for all of us. That thru our Savior, hope is never lost. That He is always reaching out. And that He loves us enough to sent His only begotten Son here on Earth. The more I live, the more I realize the impact of His Atonement for all mankind. That all is lost and fallen, but because of Jesus Christ we are found and redeemed. I do testify that

How I live my faith

I used to be part of the Primary Organization in our Church where I get to teach kids at the age of 4 - 12 and I aslo lead or assist them during activities which we hold for them. As a high school math teacher, I never thought that my calling in Church, which I've mentioned a while ago, will help me learn how to love children and with that I know now that I could adjust no matter how old my students will be. I am also a ward missionary, which means I help our full time missionaries in their teaching of the gospel to people who are investigating our Church. So with that, I get to encounter different kinds of people. This calling helps me understand people and prepare as a full time missionary as well. Both of my callings help me to develop a greater capicity to love people regardless of their age, status in life or gender. It has helped me personally to become a better person.
